Prof. Dr. Bassey E. Antia unterrichtet am Fachbereich Sprachwissenschaften an der Universität des Westkaps, Südafrika. Er lehrte und forschte an Universitäten in Nigeria, Kanada, Deutschland, Spanien und Großbritannien. Als Alumnus des DAAD und der Alexander-von-Humboldt-Stiftung promovierte er an der Universität Bielefeld. Er erhielt verschiedene Auszeichnungen, darunter den Preis für hervorragende Dissertation sowie die Auszeichnung für herausragende Leistungen in angewandter Forschung und Entwicklung auf dem Gebiet der Terminologie durch das von der UNESCO in 1971 gegründete Internationale Informationszentrum für Terminologie.
Prof. Dr. Bassey E. Antia teaches in the Department of Linguistics at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He has held teaching or fellowship positions at universities in Nigeria, Canada, Germany, Spain and, UK. A DAAD alumnus and a Humboldtian, he holds a PhD from the University of Bielefeld in Germany. He has received various awards, including the Prize for Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of the University Society of Westphalia & Lippe, the International INFOTERM Award for Outstanding Achievement in Applied Research & Development in the Field of Terminology, the Eugene Wüster Prize for Terminology and the Southern African National Award in Teaching Excellence.

Dr. Peter Mayer hält eine Professur für Allgemeine und Internationale Volkswirtschaftslehre an der Hochschule Osnabrück. Er promovierte an der Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main. Von 2003 bis 2007 war Professor Mayer Dekan der Fakultät Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaften sowie Vizepräsident für Internationale Angelegenheiten der Hochschule Osnabrück. Der Fokus seiner Forschung und Lehre liegt auf Europäischer Integration, internationalen Wirtschaftsbeziehungen, Wirtschaftsethik und Hochschulmanagement.
Dr. Peter Mayer is Professor of International Economics at the Osnabrück University of Applied Science. He holds a doctorate degree from the Goethe University in Frankfurt. Between 2003 and 2007, Professor Mayer was Dean of the Faculty for Business Management and Social Sciences as well as Vice President for International Affairs. The main areas of his teaching and research are international economic relations, European integration, business ethics and higher education issues.

Marc Wilde arbeitet seit 2002 beim Deutschen Akademischen Austauschdienst (DAAD) und ist verantwortlich für die Steuerung des vom Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit (BMZ) geförderten Programms „Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies (DIES)“. DIES – eine gemeinsame Initiative des DAAD und der Hochschulrektorenkonferenz (HRK) – bietet eine Vielzahl von Maßnahmen zur Hochschulentwicklung in Entwicklungsländern an. Darüber hinaus ist er an der Umsetzung verschiedener regionaler Maßnahmen zur Verbesserung der Qualitätssicherung an Hochschulen in Afrika und Asien beteiligt.
Marc Wilde has been working with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) since 2002 and is responsible for the overall coordination of the programme “Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies (DIES)” funded by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). DIES – a joint initiative by the DAAD and the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK) – offers a variety of measures aiming at strengthening institutional capacities of universities and competences of higher education managers in developing countries. Further, he has been involved in the implementation of different regional Quality Assurance projects in Africa and Asia.
