Liberal Democracies under Pressure and Consequences for Adult Education
Liberal democracies worldwide are under increasing pressure, which has far-reaching consequences for adult education. This volume examines the impact of authoritarian and right-wing populist developments on adult and continuing education.
Contributions explore developments in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Austria. An additional article takes as its starting point the growing pressure that the far right places on adult and continuing education, focusing specifically on language provision for migrants. The "Miscellaneous" section includes an article that analyzes the implementation of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) in adult and continuing education.
The yearbook is intended for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners interested in the comparative study of adult education, democracy, and educational policy.
