W. Bertelsmann Verlag (wbv) looks back on more than 140 years of company history. Founded in 1864 by Wilhelm Bertelsmann as printing house and lithographers, the company developed into a newspaper publisher and later expanded to printing books and forms. With the progression of publishing and the communications market, wbv developed into a state-of-the-art specialist publisher and media service provider with customers all over Germany.

The values and principles that formed the roots of the company, still rule our guidelines. A strong team spirit and outstanding personal commitment unites more than 60 staff members in various areas of competence: Executive staff, editors, media designers and IT specialists support the transport of educational topics by modern technologies.
